The plan was to spend the weeks around Christmas and New Years Eve in snow and ice, with the possibility to see the northern lights: Since I’ve been to Iceland in May 2022 and really enjoyed the time spent the idea to visit this awesome country in winter was born. To raise the chance of seeing Aurora Borealis and since I’ve never been to Norway before, I wanted to visit Oslo for the second week. In the end not everything worked out: at first the flight to Iceland was cancelled, leaving with a little delay of only four days later on December 24th and touching down in heavy snow but just in time for the Christmas mass – which turned out to be simply beautiful. A few days and some activities like car sledding later the plane headed to Norway: only to be freezing in an Airbnb without proper heating for one night. Nevertheless I captured some pretty photographs.
