We write to taste life twice, in the moment and in retrospect. — Anaïs Nin
I enjoyed telling the story of our bicycle journey (cycling from Los Angeles to New York City on road bicycles) and sharing the photographs I had captured along the way very much; and I was looking for a way to save my memories of this epic adventure for my whole life (especially because I had to realize that I have forgotten the details of our last cycling days already…). — Therefore I decided to write it down.
Memories turned into words; words formed sentences; sentences filled pages and were accompanied by some photographs – before I really realized it, an entire book was born.
I’m really happy with the outcome and I’m looking forward hearing what you think about it!
If you’re interested in travel essays, cycling, in the details of our journey (e.g. the packing list) or if you even are thinking about crossing America on your own, you’ll definitely want to check it out on the iBooks store.
